Once I set everything to Low and turned off Anistropy and anti-alaising, I was at least able to some 5 - 10 fps acutally play game. Interesting - in-game menus speed is perfect. Look for /users/<your user>/Application Data/MKKE/options.ini in your wine prefix, and open it in a text editor. My video card has 2Gb of video RAM, so I changed the video_device value to 2147483648 (2 * 1073741824). I also set configured to true, and the game now runs since autoconfigure will be skipped.
