If I'm playing Guild Wars in Windows Vista or Windows 7 mode there is no sound
in the game. The default Windows XP mode works without problems.

Does disabling mmdevapi in winecfg help?

I can't find such an option in winecfg. Where do I configure this?

Go to libraries, choose mmdevapi, click add, then configure and choose disable.

No this doesn't change anything. The sound is still not working in Windows
Vista and Windows 7 mode (maybe in more modes but I haven't tested all).
