This game used to work just fine with wine 1.8 Then I updated to wine 1.9.1 and it won't launch anymore, and it will crash by saying that "C4DotNetRegister.exe" has failed. I can launch it by using 1.8 with no problems but when I launch with 1.9.1 without changing anything it crashes. Note that if I run $(brew --cellar)/wine/1.8/bin/wine it runs just fine. I can change versions with other programs and they run just fine. I'm running a regression test to see if I can find something but it is taking me some time as this is the first time I've done it. It sort of installed because DotNetInstaller.exe crashed midway (see attached log) but installation finished anyways. Then I tried to run the program and it crashes just as before (see the other log). Then I switched back to 1.8 using brew switch wine 1.8 and it ran just fine. At first I thought that the issue would be that I was switching versions "on the fly" so to speak but this problem doesn't occur with other applications. I'm still running the regression test to see if I can find something.
I see the same with demo. Pre-requisities +d3dx9_30.dll +dotnet20: * wine-1.7.55 works * wine-1.9.1 won't start because of C4DotNetRegister.exe error * wine-1.9.9 works So the problem is already fixed and regression test would be wasted.
