[Bug 24990] New: winecfg segfaults when selecting "Audio" tab
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24990 Summary: winecfg segfaults when selecting "Audio" tab Product: Wine Version: 1.3.5 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: mooroon2(a)mail.ru Created an attachment (id=31663) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=31663) winecfg segfault backtrace Fedora 8 32bit + bunch of RPM from newer Fedora's recompiled for Fedora 8. Wine compiled from vanilla sources. This bug is not present in 1.3.4 and happens starting from 1.3.5 (i.e. it also affects 1.3.6). Problem is just as stated in summary - winecfg crashes with segfault as soon as I try to switch into "Audio" tab. Will attach backtrace to this report. Unfortunately I can't proceed with git bisecting bug due to lack of spare time to spend on this :-(. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24990 --- Comment #2 from Alexey Loukianov <mooroon2(a)mail.ru> 2010-11-02 02:07:42 CDT --- A big surprise: setting WINEDEBUG=+mixer magically heals segfault. Looks like that there's some link between segfault and contents of WINEDEBUG env. Will investigate some more and report afterwards. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24990 --- Comment #3 from Alexey Loukianov <mooroon2(a)mail.ru> 2010-11-02 02:12:57 CDT --- Follow up: including either "+mixer" or "trace+all" in WINEDEBUG "magically" heals the bug. Starting up with empty WINEDEBUG or with WINEDEBUG="-all,err+all" (that is default for my wine testing environment) brings the bug back. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

As I had already stated I haven't got enough spare time at the moment to walk through all the mess with installing git and doing bisect builds. Hope you will get fun time years later hunting something that might had been easily fixed in a weeks from regression. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
