[Bug 32959] New: Warcraft 3: Minimizing problems
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32959 Bug #: 32959 Summary: Warcraft 3: Minimizing problems Product: Wine Version: 1.5.23 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: sworddragon2(a)aol.com Classification: Unclassified I'm using Openbox 3.5.0 and trying to minimize Warcraft 3 (RoC and TFT) with the window manager will cause the game visually to minimize but it is still active. The sound is still playing and the mouse is not showing on my desktop. Using -opengl works as a workaround but introduces a new problem: After ~1 hour of playing minimizing and recovering the game will cause the next mouseclick in the game to minimize it again. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32959 --- Comment #1 from sworddragon2(a)aol.com 2013-04-11 17:06:01 CDT --- I have figured out something new: On -opengl if the minimizing problem appears it seems I'm not able anymore to start any other wine application until Warcraft 3 is closed. Trying to start winecfg in this case will result in the following output: sworddragon(a)ubuntu:~$ winecfg fixme:shell:SIC_Initialize Failed to load IDI_SHELL_DOCUMENT icon! fixme:shell:SIC_Initialize Failed to load IDI_SHELL_DOCUMENT icon! err:ole:apartment_createwindowifneeded CreateWindow failed with error 127 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32959 --- Comment #2 from sworddragon2(a)aol.com 2013-06-08 01:56:42 CDT --- The minimizing problem also appears on the game Dear Esther and is much easier to reproduce: After loading any level, minimizing the game and recovering it the next mouseclick has a high chance (>50%) that it will minimize the game. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32959 --- Comment #3 from Austin English <austinenglish(a)gmail.com> --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for over a year. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.37 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.37 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
