Run ArcGIS_Desktop_106_161544.exe to extract the installer to your Documents folder. 2. Run the installer from the Documents folder. 3. Cancel out of the license activation dialog. 4. Go to ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/ArcGIS/Desktop10.6/bin and run `winedbg ArcMap.exe` (running through winedbg avoids ArcGIS's builtin backtrace-suppressing crash dialog). Type c and press Enter to start the program. The program crashes in gdi32, but it's not clear to me that gdi32 is the problem. I only have ArcGISPro.exe, but that couldn't start since I couldn't get dotnet461 to properly install in a 64bit WINEPREFIX.
