http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21447 Summary: Monopolie 0.9.7 does not run Product: Wine Version: 1.1.35 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.6 Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: richardcavell(a)mail.com Monopolie 0.9.7.exe, an open-source Monopoly game from sourceforge that is written in Visual Basic, does not run. If I run the .exe from the command line, it simply terminates without an error message. The source code is included with the download, so if the error is somewhere in there, it ought to be able to be located. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

No need for wine in this case. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

After using the Monopolie 0.9.7 installer and winetricks to get the comctl32 OCX controls, Monopolie starts without issue. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

I'm using the winebottler version, which so far is 1.1.35. When I run Monopolie from the command line, it gives me another prompt almost immediately. It appears that the executable exits successfully within a fraction of a second. Although it's unusable because of the way sound is played (embedded ole object) is not supported and lead to an error and termination. I have tested in gnu/linux, since the bug is for mac, can anyone retest in this system? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

That is a different issue, please open a new bug. Most likely related to what I wrote in comment 5 related to the game sound. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
