I think Wine does in fact support services, so that shouldn't be a huge issue.

I just tried installing Catia V5 r17 myself on current wine.
The very first roadblock is that wine's cmd's copy doesn't
support wildcards yet, so when the installer does
   copy "D:\INTEL\*.exe" "C:\windows\temp\TempDSUnload" 
the wrong thing happens.
