[Bug 27794] New: Unable to type french accented characters

Using the keyboard shortcut (Shift+CapsLock), I can change the keyboard layout in Ubuntu to french azerty and that is also well recognized in wine. The problem is, that when I try to type a french accented letter (e.g. è,à,ê), it only types the unaccented equivalent (e,a,e). Or is there another solution to this to make at least my dictionary use the accented characters the right way? Also, this is a big usability issue for me, will I be able then to write accented characters from my system's locale (if it could be done for the dictionary specifically) - Czech - in the dictionary as well? As it is often needed to switch between keyboard layouts during a program run, why wasn't this implemented yet and is it planned to be done anytime in the future?
