The Space key is not registered as being pressed when either the Ctrl or Cmd
modifier key is held down

(Cmd is recognized by Wine as both the Windows "Alt" and "Menu" keys)

Doesn't work:
- Ctrl + Space
- Cmd + Space

Works:
- Space + Ctrl
- Space + Cmd

If any of the following keys are *also* held, then it again works: fn, Shift,
Ctrl, Cmd. ("fn" is on Macbook laptop keyboards)
For example these combination all work:
- fn + Ctrl + Space
- Ctrl + fn + Space
- Shift + Ctrl + Space
- Ctrl + Shift + Space
- Cmd + Ctrl + Space
- Ctrl + Cmd + Space


Tested with KeyboardStateView v1.00 on macOS 11 with Wine-Devel 11.0

I expect this is because macOS has default keyboard shortcuts assigned to these
key combinations: Cmd + Space brings up Spotlight, and Ctrl + Space cycles
through input sources (i.e. alternate input methods).

These can be disabled in System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts, maybe
once they're disabled at the system level Wine will be able to see them?

Yes turning off the shortcuts did the trick. I guess this info could be added
to the macOS wiki
