Had to install TaxAct under Windows to import last year's return, then saved the new return. I was then able to open the saved return under Wine. Wine 2.0-rc2 staging under Linux Mint 18.1. According to the TaxAct web site, it appears that the free version will import returns for a charge of $5. I have not tried it myself with the free version, but I can donate this amount to the Wine project to facilitate work on this bug. Or, I can donate $50 which would cover the cost of the "Plus" version which I have.
