Game starts but menu is not usually at all (textures are lacking). Going to attach a normal log and some screenshots. The full game works on my nvidia geforce FX, at least in the menu (in-game is a different story). Now, in 1.1.44 all objects have correct textures and the performance is good (at least in the demo). When properly installing libtxc_dxtn the graphics and menu are displayed fine (just forcing S3TC on also works OK I think). I really think we need some sort of warning when S3TC is detected as disabled. There are still more Splinter Cell graphics issues, but these are tracked in bug #9609 and bug #13869. Henri has already submitted a patch to issue a warning if s3tc support is not found, but it was not accepted yet.
