[Bug 11013] New: Steam: Crashes after about 5 to 10 minutes of operation
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11013 Summary: Steam: Crashes after about 5 to 10 minutes of operation Product: Wine Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-programs AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: jason.bogstie(a)gmail.com I run steam and even if it is just sitting there it will crash after 5 to 10 minutes of operation. I have not been able as of yet to test game functionality but I assume the games will crash too since steam is crashing. I have ran both crash fixes listed on the application's database listing for steam and it still crashes. I am running Fedora Core 8 with wine build 0.9.52 This is the error produced in the console: XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0.0" after 7577242 requests (7575114 known processed) with 0 events remaining. After searching around I cannot find any entry in bugzilla or on google which addresses this problem. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11013 --- Comment #1 from Yolande Haneder <yolande(a)haneder.biz> 2008-01-03 08:05:08 --- This had probably nothing to do with Wine. If you could read in German the page http://www.fedoraforum.de/viewtopic.php?p=76617&sid=51461de7c07a25c9a44a7ba7... you would see that some other fedora user are being affected. This seems to be a Nvidia driver crashing the X-server after a recent fedora update. The other user on that link had also the X-server crashing when calling the NVIDIA X server settings. In that case it was that after an update, the xorg.conf was not set correctly (path for the nvidia driver was not correct and the driver could not load the glx module). If you have nvidia you should update the driver or ask in the fedora forum. I hope this could help! -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
