I have attached a screenshot of this functionality. Will you retest? What does "wine config /drivers/ show dot files checked." mean? I assumed that it meant having "Show dot files" checked in the tab, "Drives", winecfg. I tried toggling that check-box without it displaying any dot files in the Pop-up for Ctrl-O in notepad-plus. With or without "Show dot files" being checked I couldn't see an dot files in my home directory. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32079 --- Comment #3 from gat <gatlinsullivan(a)yahoo.com> --- Austin, I have added you to the CC so that you can either confirm this or mark it as invalid. winecfg -> "Drives" -> "Show dot files" (checked or unchecked) with Notepad++ 6.9 on Fedora 23 with Wine 1.9.5 will not show any dot files from the home (~/) directory in the file dialog (Ctrl-O) in Notepad++. I assume that not showing dot files when the "Show dot files" is checked in winecfg is a bug. I'm not sure that that is what the original bug reporter was reporting. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Austin, I have added you to the CC so that you can either confirm this or mark it as invalid.

I can confirm that they're missing, but they're also missing in wine's notepad, so it doesn't seem to be Notepad++ specific. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32079 --- Comment #5 from Rosanne DiMesio <dimesio(a)earthlink.net> --- A forum user encountered the same problem in SQLiteSpy and Metapad. I tested SQLiteSpy and Wine's notepad. It is possible to see .dot files/directories, but the way to do it is not obvious: Select File->Open In the "Look in" dropdown box select "My Computer" Select the (Z:) drive Browse to wherever; you should be able to see the .dot files/directories. The key is the second step; if you select / instead of My Computer from the dropdown list, .dot files/directories won't be displayed. Wine's explorer also has the same problem: navigating through / does not show the hidden files, but going through My Computer does. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. I tried using "/" and "My Computer" from the suggestion above this comment. Neither showed dot files (.foo, .foobar). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
