Please check which wine version you use and attach terminal output of the application. Also please note that PlayOnLinux might apply workarounds or hacks which sometimes do more harm than they help. PlayOnLinux autoinstalled wine 1.6.2, so that may be why it didn't run properly.

Please keep the initial reported version number, and be a bit more patient. It might take some time till someone has an idea what else you could try out, or why the issue occurs only for you. Which graphic card and which drivers do you use?
