Everything is still active in the background; you still hear the proper clicks and noises from clicking on other GUI elements, and can exit the game by guessing where the quit dialog is, but the visual display of the screen never updates apart from the mouse cursor. It starts with this commit: commit b5da7f49d332ed5d64be1256e14035af74a7efa2 Author: Henri Verbeet <hverbeet(a)codeweavers.com> Date: Thu Jul 2 10:01:37 2009 +0200 wined3d: Don't reuse random GL contexts during initialization. Obviously there's no guarantee about the state of such a context. I'm having some trouble reproducing this. I do see a d3d9 object being created when I push the "Preferences" tab (and again when going to the "Video" preference group), but as far as I can tell it all works properly. Does this really still happen with current git? I'm having some trouble reproducing this. I do see a d3d9 object being created when I push the "Preferences" tab (and again when going to the "Video" preference group), but as far as I can tell it all works properly. For what it's worth, I used http://installers.wwiionline.com/wwiiol0001311.exe to install, and I'm running ww2.exe directly since I don't have an account for the game.
