Multiple games will hang or crash on startup following this commit: https://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/commit/ fd7992972b252ed262d33ef604e9e1235d2108c5
Reverting the commit, as per https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49007#c11, fixes the issue.

Neither of these have worked since Wine 5.7. Confirmed not to be working in Wine 5.8 as well.
Can confirm that Anno 1404 and Divinity 2 (GOG, Definitive Edition) stopped working. Didn't test the other games listed. I did no bisection, however going back to 5.6 makes them working again. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Sorry, it seems I mixed up some things up during testing and reverted a bit more than I should have. Anno 1404 and The Witcher 2, though not working in 5.7 or 5.8, are now working as of Wine Staging 5.9 and are not affected by the issue introduced in the commit. Anno 1701, Divinity 2 and BioShock Remastered are still not working as of 5.9 and are affected by the commit. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Hello, Crashes and hangs may have multiple causes. This one is closed. Open a new bug for your application so that we can triage them individually. Hello, I have some open bugs which nobody look at. There's no point opening a new bug.
Whether bugs get fixed or even looked at depends on a lot of factors, including: * how well the bug is reported, * the nature of the bug, * the component at fault, * whether it can be easily (and freely) reproduced by a developer, * whether there are obvious causes for the bug, * the free time of the developer who happens to be looking at the bug at that moment. It's unfortunate that some bugs never get attention, but please don't consequently assume that no bugs ever get attention. If that were the case, no patches would ever go into Wine. Not filing a bug is a good way to ensure that a problem will never be fixed. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
