I tried launching in wine window constrained to 1024x768 resolution. I had IE6, d3dx9, corefonts, vcrun2005, and vcrun2008 installed by winetricks. I did do a search, but after wasting a half hour of my life searching this site and google for any bugs listed related left for dead 2 demo I gave up and filed my own.
I'm not sure where you were searching, but next time use the bugzilla search field.
