Instead, you get extremely loud crackling and popping noises. "Hardware Acceleration" setting in winecfg (Emulation/Full) makes no difference whatsoever. May or may not be a regression; it's suspicious that this wasn't noticed by other reporters earlier, but still present in 1.1.29 which there's reports against. Maybe the game changed? Since 1.1.30 you can hear music and sound effect, because it came with OpenAL. I did some tests now and when i compiled 1.1.34 i heard music and effects, but if i added option "--without-openal" i got "really loud crackling" sound. I also filed bug 20914 and bug 20915 based on this. But only with format = AL_FORMAT_51CHN16.
