Without native dcom98, the app crashes after putting up a splash screen and a couple popups. The application tries to create an OLE object for CLSID_Picture_EnhMetafile. I'm not too sure what the CLSID_Picture_* classes are supposed to do, but I can't imagine that they would be too complicated.
