[Bug 35173] New: Loud audio distortion using wine 1.7.6 and up.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35173 Bug ID: 35173 Summary: Loud audio distortion using wine 1.7.6 and up. Product: Wine Version: 1.7.6 Hardware: x86 OS: FreeBSD Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wineoss.drv Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: asfw(a)sutolyst.me.uk Classification: Unclassified When running applications with wine version 1.7.6 to 1.7.8, I get some nasty loud sound distortion when certain sounds play. It’s not constant, but it is frequent. Wine 1.7.5 is the last version without this bug. There is no relevant error message printed. This is on FreeBSD, so the sound driver used is wineoss.drv, but I don’t know if this is where the problem lies. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35173 --- Comment #3 from Andrew Eikum <aeikum(a)codeweavers.com> --- A log with the channels from <http://wiki.winehq.org/Sound> could help. It would also be useful to know which applications or sounds cause this. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35173 --- Comment #5 from David Naylor <naylor.b.david(a)gmail.com> --- Based on my testing it is the commit 3cb2ddfd09d5986614e028 that introduces the sound defects, although for me it is rather subtle when playing Warcraft 3. Other games of mine do not have this sound defect. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
