[Bug 15468] New: polygon vertex problems on assassin's creed characters
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15468 Summary: polygon vertex problems on assassin's creed characters Product: Wine Version: 1.1.5 Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: gus(a)inodes.org CC: fenixk19(a)mail.ru, jef.albino(a)yahoo.com.br Created an attachment (id=16363) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=16363) example corruption +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #12949 +++ I'm splitting this off since it's presumably unrelated to general graphics slowness in Assassin's Creed. Other people have played the game without reporting this issue, but for me (and some others) the characters have messed up vertices - see the image attachment. Only happens on the characters, not background walls, etc (as far as I can tell). I've confirmed it exists in 1.1.5, 1.0 and 0.9.61. None of the in-game graphics options seem to affect this problem - any hints on what else I can do to help narrow this down? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

What graphics card? Driver version?
Oh right, details ;) OpenGL renderer string: GeForce 7300 LE/PCI/SSE2 OpenGL version string: 2.1.2 NVIDIA 173.14.09 The problem also occurred with my previous 169.12 driver version. Most recent test was with: "DirectDrawRenderer"="opengl" "OffscreenRenderingMode"="fbo" "PixelShaderMode"="enabled" "RenderTargetLockMode"="textex" "UseGLSL"="enabled" "VertexShaderMode"="hardware" "VideoMemorySize"="512" A clean WINEPREFIX exhibits the same problem. I'm using a native d3dx9_36.dll if that matters. I can post a full wine log if you like, but it's going to be *big*. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

It looks like this is an issue with the 6xxx and 7xxx series. With my 8600GTS it works fine. On the german ubuntu forum someone wrote, that he has the same problem as in the 'example corruption' attachment. He uses a Nvidia 7600GT in SLI mode.
