When changing the screen resolution in Day Of Defeat: Source from default
(1024x768) to higher values, DOD crashes. 
This frequently leads to a forced logout of the user.
Error is reproducible both in full screen and window mode.

System/Test environment:

Ubuntu 8.04 LTS
Wine 1.1.36
NVidia 8600 GT with binary drivers as supplied from Ubuntu
AMD Athlon X2 4800
2GByte RAM

Output of stderr after performing the following steps:
-Starting Day Of Defeat: worked
-Changing from full screen to window mode: worked
-Changing resolution from 1024x768 to 1280x1024: worked
-Changing resolution from 1280x1024 to 1400x1050: Day Of Defeat crashed

After a round of updates to Ubuntu, error is now intermittent instead of always
and immediate.

After update to WINE 1.1.42, Steam crashes before even reaching the login
screen. 
Above bug description is no longer accurate. 
I'm setting status of this bug to "resolved, invalid" (if I have the rights to
do so on this account). 

Will try to find out more and resubmit with better information.
