https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45520 Bug ID: 45520 Summary: Install Shield fails on 64bit prefix with Silent install Product: Wine Version: 3.12 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: oleaut32 Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: duhowpi(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- Created attachment 61905 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=61905 Install error log Following bug 24611, when installing Final Fantasy XI Online: PlayOnline Viewer, with the parameters "/S /v/qn" for silent installation, no files are being installed at Program Files. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45520 Chiitoo <chiitoo(a)gentoo.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |chiitoo(a)gentoo.org --- Comment #2 from Chiitoo <chiitoo(a)gentoo.org> --- The installer has changed since this report, and I notice 'lutris' mentioned in the log. It would be nice to know the actual command invocation, but at least these seems to work here: wine msiexec /i PlayOnlineViewer.msi /q and wine msiexec /i FINAL_FANTASY_XI.msi /q Assuming "64bit" prefix actually means (the old style) WoW64 prefix (both 32-bit and 64-bit supported), though the new style WoW64 64-bit only build of Wine Staging was also tested, and works for this. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
