[Bug 23988] New: Alt + Tab woes on Ubuntu and Debian.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23988 Summary: Alt + Tab woes on Ubuntu and Debian. Product: Wine Version: 1.3.0 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: vixsandlee(a)gmail.com Created an attachment (id=30126) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=30126) wine regression testing result. I have tested this on both Ubuntu 9.10 and Debian (testing) both running gnome-shell (one build from git, the other from apt) and I find that once I hit a version of wine, I can no longer alt - tab back into wine, if I alt + tab out. I have tried to do the Regression testing to find the problem, and I believe I have done it right, and come up with this result. (see attached) This effects programs rin using wine, and winecfg ect... Anyway, I hope this helps and that I have done it correctly. Helps convince some broken window managers to put new windows on top of the z-order. Did you try to revert that patch? Sounds like a gnome-shell bug. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23988 --- Comment #2 from Lee Wilson <vixsandlee(a)gmail.com> 2010-08-14 02:07:37 --- Reverting the patch fixed the problem It is something between wine & gnome-shell, when I run metacity it works fine, it only lose's the ability to alt + tab when in gnome-shell. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
