https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37443 triangle400(a)gmail.com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |triangle400(a)gmail.com --- Comment #2 from triangle400(a)gmail.com --- Terminal output doesn't show much: user(a)Oldie:~$ env WINEPREFIX="/home/user/.wine" wine C:\\windows\\command\\start.exe steam://rungameid/8930 fixme:exec:SHELL_execute flags ignored: 0x00000100 user(a)Oldie:~$ fixme:ver:GetCurrentPackageId (0x33e490 (nil)): stub user(a)Oldie:~$ At first the bug was happening 100% for like a dozen tries with various video settings. Then i opened a terminal window pasted my civ5 link in it and i could "play" about half a dozen games without it hanging or crashing. Rebooted, opened a steam client with the "-no-ddraw" option (i forget the actual name) and tried the game twice. First one got hung after playing maybe 2 turns, second one closed. Both displayed the same lack of terminal output. Just to be sure, right before writing this, i closed the steam client and tried the link from the terminal. I built a monument and a scout and reached my first social policy without crashing. This leads me to think a workaround for this would be to close the steam client and run a desktop link for the game. Using wine 1.7 latest as of oct 26 2014 Nividia GT 240 Acer 4go RAM Quad core, 2,6ghz ( i think) Hope it helps. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37443 --- Comment #4 from triangle400(a)gmail.com --- I was trying to get a clean terminal log for the fixed turn crash and instead i ran into this one again. Turned off pc, waited like 20 sec, turned it back on, opened a terminal window, pasted the link from my civ5 shortcut. Started a random leader game (duel size), managed to build a town and moving the warrior crashed it. Log is in a file up here called "Terminal output after crash". The log didn't start like the other one, there seemed to be a lot of steam garbage in it. I initially tried piping it to the file but i ended up with an empty file. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
