[Bug 49547] New: Debian Buster/Bullseye & amdgpu : can't run any software
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49547 Bug ID: 49547 Summary: Debian Buster/Bullseye & amdgpu : can't run any software Product: Wine Version: 5.12 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: iangullo(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- Created attachment 67686 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=67686 Crash log from Basketball Playbook I am struggling with wine-staging-5.12 on debian amd64 after last update. I cannot run any of the installed software in my prefixes - 32 or 64 bit - and starting with a fresh prefix has the same result: installers run fine, but software once installed fails to run. Not even the embedded windows media player. (staging tab in winecfg does not allow me to select VAAPI) GPU: AMD RX470 Suspect something is wrong here, sinece I get continuous messages: "wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to FFFFFFFF at address 7A97D133 (thread 0024), starting debugger..." Complaints about vulkan and typical mesage on crash - debugger output of one software attached, Blizzard games provide no debug on crash: "wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to FFFFFFFF at address 7A97D133 (thread 0024), starting debugger..." -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49547 --- Comment #1 from Ivan <iangullo(a)gmail.com> --- Issue is reproduced using "vanilla" debian wine version, su suspecting strongly the vulkan & mesa integration here. (Staging tab does not allow selection of VAAPI in any case). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49547 --- Comment #5 from Ivan <iangullo(a)gmail.com> --- (You're right it is not a blocker, sorry). Unfortunately I can't do regression testing. I only have this machine and only on OS installed. Later this weekend, I'll try to set something up on an external HD to see if I can test with prior versions. :( Has anybody reported similar problems with RADV & wine-staging? Everything was working fine till the last debian buster update. Now I've migrated to bullseye hoping to fix the issue, without any luck. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
