It might be useful to have a 'comment's column added to the bugs table where one could write down what the bug means for the end user. For example, looking at Total Annihilation http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=7306 , we have two bugs that could benefit from this. Currently we see for example: Bug: 4066 Description: Online Play Doesn't Work (DirectPlay) Bug: 9159 Description: ProgMan DDE interface is not implemented in Wine's shell32/explorer In these examples, the first bug, 4066, makes it look like online play is not possible, which is actually not the case. The second bug doesn't really tell an end user anything about what this means for them. It might be useful for end users to be able to add a 'what this means for you' description, such as: Bug: 4066 Description: Online Play Doesn't Work (DirectPlay) What this means for you: You'll need to install the native directplay dlls as an override, see http://wiki.winehq.org/DirectPlayGames Bug: 9159 Description: ProgMan DDE interface is not implemented in Wine's shell32/explorer What this means for you: The shortcuts won't be installed when you run the installer, so you'll either need to launch the application from the commandline, or create your own .desktop shortcuts. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
