I can't confirm this bug report. I have no problem with starting in 1.1.44 and no problem with performance drop:

I know that menus works well. (but my fps is slower). Did you start the match? My graphics settings are full high with 3D grass enabled. In 1.1.20 it works very good, but in latest wines very slow.
