[Bug 16156] New: Networking doesn't work for app "IPS" Internet Print Service (foto software fotoquelle.de)
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16156 Summary: Networking doesn't work for app "IPS" Internet Print Service (foto software fotoquelle.de) Product: Wine Version: 1.0.1 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: markusd112(a)web.de After downloading IPS (Internet Print Service, a software for ordering foto prints from Foto-Quelle) software the installation works fine. When starting IPS it checks for software updates and updates for the price list. This doesn't work. After a while it aborts with a timeout error message: there is no network-connection. I have already tried to set my hostname to the local ip in etc/host as described in the wiki, but it doesn't work. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16156 --- Comment #2 from Markus <markusd112(a)web.de> 2008-11-23 07:00:01 --- Can you help me how to create such a +winsock trace? In the meantime I have analysed the network traffic with wireshark a little bit: there seems to be some communication between an internet host and the ips-application, but it doesn't work at all... Under VirtualBox with WinXP it works. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

The question is where it's coming from.
