[Bug 40405] New: I downloaded a free version of Adobe Photoshop CS6, and downloaded it to my computer with Wine. The program works for about two minutes, before a window pops up saying Photoshop.exe has encountered a serious problem, and needs to close immediately.

I installed and opened the application with Wine, and it works fine for about two minutes. After that short amount of time, a window pops up saying 'Photoshop.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close.' In the description, it says Wine could have a deficiency, or the program itself. I clicked on 'Show Details', and it loaded out the backtrack txt I have attached. Where did you download this free version?

Ok, thanks. I see that you are using a pre-1.8 wine version, please update to the latest development version (currently 1.9.7) or at least 1.8.1 and check if the problem persists.
When I check for updates, it says that 1.8-rc4 is the latest update. I downloaded 1.9.7 and the file expanded, but there is no application in the folder and I'm not exactly sure how to run the Photoshop program from this. You will need to compile Wine 1.9.7 yourself on your Mac...
