A few questions for you: - how did you install it by means installer failure? - did you try with current Wine or you're using only released versions?
I'm ashamed - as I am not able to use winetricks (it always writes errors, leaves tempfiles in wrong pathes, etc.)
Please file bugs with winetricks if that is the case. Try the latest from SVN: http://winezeug.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/winetricks
I could not install it with wine - I copied a installed FlashFXP-folder from Windows to my ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/ - directory.
