You may consider reversing this patch: http://cvs.winehq.org/patch.py?id=12071 .

That is:

cd /usr/src/wine-cvs
make uninstall
wget http://cvs.winehq.org/patch.py?id=12071
patch -p0 < "patch.py?id=12071"
./configure  &&  make depend  &&  make
make install

This let me my Diablo I utility to run with success.
