[Bug 51376] New: Wine causes PC to lock or crash wine when loading more than 1 VST addon into WaveLab 6
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51376 Bug ID: 51376 Summary: Wine causes PC to lock or crash wine when loading more than 1 VST addon into WaveLab 6 Product: Wine Version: 6.0.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: shagooserver(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- Created attachment 70232 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=70232 backtrace I have a number of VST add-ons I use with Wavelab, they come from a number of different software houses and work differently, for example some require vcrun libraries to work while others do not. In the main, I can load any single add-on and it works as expected but as soon as I add/open a second add-on my PC will either crash wine or it will lock up altogether requiring a hard restart. This was not an issue in wine 5.0. Backtrace is attached. Possibly a duplicate of bug 51259 or is quite similar. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51376 --- Comment #1 from Gijs Vermeulen <gijsvrm(a)gmail.com> --- Could attach the full terminal output, not only the backtrace? See: https://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#How_can_I_get_a_debugging_log_.28a.k.a._terminal... Does this still happen with the latest wine development version (6.13)? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51376 --- Comment #2 from Scott <shagooserver(a)gmail.com> --- Yes, the new release of wine, 6.13 does allow two add-ons without problem but I cannot try a third because I am unable to install it now. When I attempt to install the installer uses 2 screens, 1 (1) is a wallpaper screen that fills the entire screen and and 1 (2) is the normal box with buttons down the bottom (next and cancel) and where to install etc (the normal installer pop-up. What should happen is that screen (2) pops up and I make the necessary selections and while that is processing screen (1) fills the monitor. What now happens is screen (1) pops ups and I can alt-tab to other screens including screen (2) but I cannot focus on any other screen. So when I release alt-tab screen (1) is in focus again. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
