[Bug 9154] Balls of Steel fails to start

For me, I get to start game, click start, and a hidden popup shows behind that
window. I can't read what it says, and attempting to move the start menu makes
it move back immediately.

Not sure if this bug is present/fixed, but game definitely doesn't work under
1.3.16.
