Then it ran fine, albeit at 10fps, on my gt 220 / e8400. Switching to the old renderer in the game's video settings doubled fps, and the game seems to run reasonably well. But when you quit, you get a game crash dialog, and then wine's crash dialog. The log shows fixme:ole:CoCreateInstance no instance created for interface {ea1afb91-9e28-4b86-90e9-9e9f8a5eefaf} of class {56fdf344-fd6d-11d0-958a-006097c9a090}, hres is 0x80004002 immediately before the crash. I tried installing vcrun2008 and d3dx9 with winetricks first, but no help.
