Well in the attached screenshot you can see that the option button is highlighted when I put the mouse in the place where that part of the screen is supposed to be. I hope I've explained the problem better this time. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Unless someone plays all 1,000 games listed here, it's tough to understand what we all are talking about because we all assume everyone is playing the same game ;) The second screen shot shows a good example, I experience this bug myself if in full-screen mode. Basically, the game UI is being drawn full-screen, but the game video is in the little corner. So in the second screen-shot you'll see that the mouse is in the black area, but the "options" button is lit up. Where the mouse is, that's the option button, but the video is all small in the corner. So full-screen UI and a small corresponding screen that don't match up. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Hi Bell Labs's child, these things you need to say loudly and clearly like a HELP REGRESSION! and put it in keywords, otherwise my regression sniffer won't be attracted :-)) So far... * 0.9.49 <--WORKS perfectly (speed and full screen = OK) * 1.0.1 till 1.1.22 <-- Incredibly slow and unplayable (FPS around 0.05) * 1.1.23 till 1.1.36 <-- Speed is normal, but the game is painted in lower left corner, i.e. for resolution 1920x1200 it's like painted in third quadrant, but interestingly mouse has full 1920x1200 space. Working on that right now and hope i do that in reasonable time, because the game is unbelievable sticky ;) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19373 --- Comment #11 from Wylda <wylda(a)volny.cz> 2010-01-08 16:31:19 --- OK, i think i found it. The key here is the registry and following setting cause, that the game will be painted in lower left corner(empty settings): [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PopCap\PlantsVsZombies\Test3D] "Warning"="" Anything in a "Warning" causes, that the game will be fully painted. During the downgrade i found in this variable following value: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PopCap\PlantsVsZombies\Test3D] "Warning"="Unsupported video card: Direct3D HAL" and the game run flawlessly even in wine-1.1.36. So my wild guess - if you put anything (for example "Warning"="abc") here, the game will switch to some safe(??) mode, which runs correctly. Is there a possibility how to debug this by comparing the working and non-working version and find a bug in wine?? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19373 --- Comment #12 from Michael <knightmb(a)knightmb.dyndns.org> 2010-01-08 16:51:08 --- I tried the suggestion from Wylda, I even put in the 'ABC' :-) It certainly does something, thought I'm not sure what. When I start the game, it switches to some resolution that my monitor doesn't support for some reason. I know my monitor supports 800 by 600 and everything else in between, so I'm not sure what is happening unless wine is setting a resolution outside of the allowed ones for X server perhaps? But I can confirm that this setting does do something, just not sure what yet. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Hi Henri, this fix is probably not alway correct, especially for wide screen 16:10 (1920x1200).
