Have you tried with taskset to force it to one core? Does this work on windows with two cores?

How do you know that it's dual core related? I don't think wine's kernel32 supports setting CPU/thread affinity. I don't think wine's kernel32 supports setting CPU/thread affinity. Use a native program (taskset).
It works under Windows Vista (crappy OS ^^). :( Sooo...
