Steps to reproduce: 1. launch OV3Setup.exe using Wine (or from command line: wine OV3Setup.exe) 2. Select language (English) and press 'OK' 3. Press 'Next >' 4. Accept License Agreement by pressing 'Yes' 5. Select 'Typical' installation and press 'Install' -> the installation fails with popup message "Installation operation failed. (00001615)" Note: Selecting 'Custom' installation type fails as well. Please see error log attached for more information. Please upgrade your Wine to 1.7.x series, preferably Wine 1.7.30+ If you don't know how to do this, visit WineHQ user forums (http://forum.winehq.org/) and seek help there. Bugzilla is not meant for end user support. Probably similar issues here: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37554#c3 (the guy there didn't bother to respond if Wine 1.7.x worked though). All bugs reported with Wine 1.6.x containing 'err:msidb:get_tablecolumns column x out of range' message are likely a duplicate of already fixed (and closed) bug. For the download one needs the camera's alphanumeric serial number. I updated to Wine v1.7.33, and the installation succeeds. Afterwards, I can launch Olympus Viewer 3, so this issue can be closed. However, the program is unusable because it crashes all the time and I cannot edit any photo with this... I will have to run it in a VM or on another computer I'm afraid...
