In Wine-1.3.32 the game is showing the following error message, shortly after starting: Failed to init D3D8 object! No terminal output at all. Steps to reproduce the problem in the demo: After a successful installation, start the demo by either launcher.exe ...you will be greeted with the mentioned error message. Video card: Radeon HD 5600 Driver: AMD Catalyst™ 11.9 Proprietary Linux x86 Display Driver (x86_64 too) On other computer (x86) the game start fine with several errors; gameplay works. http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#head-a37de3282d447376d2220d20a278ae52258551a4 to get the plain terminal output and then http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#head-16da35b6327024d6ea576e3678488b16862d0f5e for the debug trace I asked. My guess is some configuration issue on your machine (e.g. do you have installed the 32 bit portion of the drivers?) but those traces should give some clues.
You can also try patches http://source.winehq.org/patches/data/80745 and http://source.winehq.org/patches/data/80744, there is some chance they may fix this issue.

Confirming fixes by patches. Arch Linux 32-bit on Nvidia 105M with drivers 285.05.09 and X.Org server 1.11.2. Well, can I use this patches with Wine 1.3.32? Of course you can.
And what Wine you tested? Latest git master commit, applying said patches.
Seeing as it didn't work for you previously and judging from your log, i would say that there is a problem with your drivers. Try to reinstall them properly. I tried the game with 1.7.16. Installed all default, run windowed mode. No crash here. I finished one game.
