[Bug 17729] New: Trivial Pursuit Digital Choice does not detect the USB device game pod

Trivial Pursuit Digital Choice displays an error stating: "There was an error connecting to your handheld. Make sure it is plugged into your PC and it is powered on." Upon clicking ok it prompts you with another dialog box asking you to connect the handheld and click ok to try again. No amount of retrying leads to a solution. Note that there are no /dev/ttyUSB* devices created upon powering on the device. Attached dmesg output and debug ("+comm") output. The device is clearly not a USB serial device. I just bought one; it seems to me that its only USB connection is a standard mass storage device with a proprietary filesystem on it.

The dmesg may have been cropped.
