Does 'winetricks ie7' make a difference?
Yes, it makes.
ie7 causes broken msxml2 it is still better to use ie6 instead. However even if the installation manager does somewhat work, you can only use it for loading update service packs but no installation can be done with it. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

It shows 'Starting the Installation Manager' and nothing happens. When minimizing and maximizing, the window contents is updated, asking to specify the type of installation. Clicking next again does not seem to be working, but min/max again shows next screen. Keeping min/max-ing the window allows me to continue through the installation process until it is 'Connecting to SolidWorks...' which seems to be not working (takes forever). (wine-1.7.34, WINEARCH=win32, Kubuntu 14.10, 64-bit) -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Does this still occur in Wine 9.8 or later?
Yes, but in a different behavior : first it installs web components, and then it opens a white popup window, and the installer is blocked. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
