Scan fails but does not throw up the same error messege, it simply offers me to view details, details show that it detects the correct amount of VRAM but not that it's a better card than either radeon 9200 or GeForce4 Ti. That being said, this is *consistent* with windows. Only difference is that it fails to detect a suitable OpenGL driver (which may or may not have a natural explanation).
