When running the .exe file with Wine I get the "serious problem and needs to
close" error message.

This is my first time using Wine, and I may not have installed it properly.

And you have to install the latest wine version. Currently it is wine-11.3 for
dev version

Yeah this is 100% on me. I read through the instructions again and installed
the latest version. It works fine now. Sorry about that.
