But for some reason mouse is weeeerrryyy slooooowwwww. Otherwise kbd moves the charater rapidly and the game itself works fine. It works when I :
1. Installed from scratch new wine 1.11 2. Installed arx fatalis patch 1.17
I can now even turn right and left (an error reported earlier by someone else, making game unplayable) and the game is faster than ever (but not as fast as in windows). Nevertheless, fixed with 1.11 and platinum now I'd say...

No, never had. But with previous versions it didnt work with patch either.
I wanted to make sure that the patch wasn't the reason it worked under wine, i.e., that the bug was being worked around by the app rather than fixed in wine.
Please note that at the beginning I was using native quartz and it worked for awhile. Now it works with wine quartz.
