So to produce this program, you start with a clean .wine directory, then: 1. install Civ 4 2. install the Warlords expansion pack 3. patch the expansion pack -> fail?
Not exactly but close, 1. I install civ 9 without problem) 2. i start the setup procedure for warlords, and it tries to patch the game to newest version, before expansion being installed. it throws some errors that werent present in late ubuntu 7.10 wine versions, it seems that something at least is patched. I can get warlords going ( not tested deeply long gameplay). 3. i try to install second addon and it fails miserably during another (newer) patch attempt. I cant say if its because first patch wasnt applied correctly, but could be the reson. With older verions of wine it was fine. But then i tried installing the Beyond the sword expansion and it was a failure. It seems similiar like the first one for the first expansion so its probably the same bug.
