https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41210 --- Comment #3 from b.barwich(a)hotmail.com --- Hi, Thank you for taking interest in this issue. I am aware that my wine version is not uptodate with the current stable version. Actually I would love to update but still there isnt any CentOS 7 compatible RPM package. But this would be a packaging bug ... Now the case of this issue is that the Game initially worked fine with that old wine version. It was actually the installation of those winetricks verbs that broke my wine and made that old already installed and formerly working Games don't work anymore. By the time I installed those winetricks verbs to be able to run other Games that I have on this system along with the "The Guild II" Game. Now I am wondering which of those winetricks verbs could have broken my wine installation. Kind Regards, Bodolfo -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41210 Bruno Jesus <00cpxxx(a)gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEEDINFO |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |INVALID --- Comment #4 from Bruno Jesus <00cpxxx(a)gmail.com> --- The bug is unfortunately invalid from Wine's point of view because: - what broke the working application is the installation of native components; - you are using an outdated version of wine. But that is just a status in a bug, what really matters is that you can fix this yourself. In such situations you must not mix games that need different winetricks verbs in the same prefix. You can reinstall Guild 2 in a different clean prefix and never have that problem again. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41210 --- Comment #5 from b.barwich(a)hotmail.com --- Hi, Thank you for the suggestion about the new WINEPREFIX. So I uninstalled the game, created the new WINEPREFIX and reinstalled the game within the new WINEPREFIX. In this WINEPREFIX I have only DirectX9 installed since the game does require DirectX9. $ WINEPREFIX=~/.wine_simple winetricks list-installed d3dx9_26 d3dx9_28 d3dx9_31 d3dx9_35 d3dx9_36 d3dx9_39 d3dx9_42 d3dx9_43 d3dx9 Unfortunately the only thing that changed is that now I see at least a cursor on a black screen. I can move the Cursor and see that my desktop and screen resolution is messed up. I upload the logs I copied from the Console Output. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41210 --- Comment #7 from b.barwich(a)hotmail.com --- Hi, I also dispose over 2 other Systems that run Debian 1) Debian 8 with wine 1.6.2 2) Debian 7 with wine 1.4 I also had running the game on those Systems, but now I can run the game but I get black Characters without textures. So I also did create a new WINEPREFIX, but I found the Problem was not solved. On System 1) I don't get hardly any Output in the Console. I upload the Console Log and a Screenshot which will illustrate the Problem. Best Regards, Bodolfo -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
