Download a XP theme, like Human for Windows [1] or Clearlooks for Windows XP [2] and unzip it. 2. Run `winecfg`. In the "Desktop Integration" tab, install the theme, choose it, and click "apply". 3. Switch between the tabs of winecfg and observe the performance. There is an obvious lag when switching tabs, which is not present when "(No Theme)" is chosen. Also, there is `fixme:msg:pack_message msg 14 (WM_ERASEBKGND) not supported yet` in the console output. Additional notes: Bug 19263 could be merged into this one. Well, I believe my description of the bug is more accurate - no "wrongdoings" like running Wine as root, plus a more general description, instead of a specific theme.
