I am using ubuntu 8.10 having had enough of windows, the one thing I miss with windows is being able to play my football manager games (kills boredom!) I did some research and found a utility (wine) that could help with my suffering, after many hours reaserching i got to know the basics of wine and was able to install my game with no issues. the problem arrose when trying to play the game, i tried right clicking on the .exe file which did nothing, i then loaded it in the terminal and the response i got is in the attachment. being I have only used linux for 3 days the response has blew my mind and have been unable to find anything on how to fix problem. any ideas i'd be very grateful. i understand that it could just be that wine is unable to play this game, and if so i'd just have to deal with it :( thanks in advance -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Did you uninstall 1.0.1? Also it would be better to run the program with explicit 'wine program.exe' command instead of relying on some kind of launcher, and cd to the program's directory first.

Just check what 'wine --version' reports.
