See attached console log. For me (as a non-hacker) the problem looks analog to the one in bug 8003 "EndNote X does not install" (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8003). So you can test the update wihtout having an endnote license. It seems that the update process goes well. However Endnote will not launch after the update has been installed (see attached error log).
